Eager to test out the Snake River Prototyping filters on my new drone, I headed into Seattle to see what results I could come up with. Purposely choosing late morning to test the ND16 Polarizer on my DJI Phantom 3 Professional, I wanted to see how well this setup could handle harsh glares in broad daylight. These filters slide on top of the stock UV filter instead of screwing on to replace it, but when I say slide, I might be sugar coating it a bit. The glass is very impressive for a mini drone filter but these are not easy to get on and much harder to get off. By the end of my second battery I felt happy with the flight patterns I experimented with and the composition of shots leading into the city skyline.
My overall opinion is that the filters produce a quality image and do a great job adding good contrast while battling the sunlight. I did see some vignetting in the photos but not in the 4K videos.
