Bright, illuminated sign spelling "OPERATION CINEMA" with a black background

This short snowboard film documents Justin Norman’s traumatic head injury and two year recovery process to redemption. On December 15th, 2022 Justin over-shot a pillow gap taking his knee to his face in the Stevens Pass backcountry, resulting in 3 teeth knocked out and 5 facial fractures. Through the support of friends, family, and coworkers he finds the motivation to not only come back to snowboarding, but also head back to the spot that changed his life forever… seeking redemption.

As well as being a talented snowboarder, Justin is a tattoo artist at Super Genius Tattoo in Seattle, Washington. He credits this positive work environment as a place that kept him inspired during the rough times post injury. Even through a series of surgeries, his love for snowboarding never faded, adding trips to the mountains into the schedule.

To the common man, a life changing injury like this, might seem like a sign to call it quits. But to the uncommon… Something like this… You just can’t let it go!

Large text overlay says "CAN'T LET IT GO" and there is a partially visible person with curly hair and a neck brace lying in a hospital bed with medical equipment and a yellow trauma room sign in the background.
